
You never really think about just how many wires are spidered all over an engine until you have to sit there and pull them all off. Sometime after about two minutes in, you really start to sympathize with the guys who never left carburetors. Whoof.


Either way, with that all done, I wadded the harness (and PCM) into a box, and went home. The PCM shipped out with the harness, since I needed to have VATS removed. VATS is an anti-theft system, but it can’t really be made to work with the Mazda ignition setup.
